Office of Emergency Management

The Borough of Buena Office of Emergency Management is responsible for coordinating responses to natural disasters, technological emergencies, severe weather emergencies in the Borough of Buena. The office works closely with County, State and Federal Emergency Management organizations to ensure a rapid, well-coordinated response to emergencies and to avoid unnecessary duplications of service.

During times of severe emergencies or disasters the office activates the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) which is located in Borough Hall.

The Office of Emergency Management continually develops and revises Borough of Buena’s Emergency Operations Plan to address the potential threats to the Borough. We use what is called an “all hazards” approach to emergency planning. This allows us to inventory and maintain the necessary resources to best meet the needs of any challenge we are faced with.

The Office of Emergency Management coordinates with all first responders in the Borough to ensure safe and efficient emergency operations.
