News and Announcements
With the arrival of nice weather, Melini Park on Central Ave in Minotola is buzzing with activity—kids on the playground, people walking, jogging, biking, and athletes of all ages enjoying the outdoors.
However, with increased use comes some challenges. Unfortunately, not everyone is following park rules. We’ve seen issues including:
- Adults parking illegally, double parking, acting disorderly, being under the influence, and causing property damage
- Kids engaging in vandalism, graffiti, reckless bike riding, and disruptive behavior
To help address these concerns, the Police Chief has implemented regular evening foot patrols during the park's busiest times. These seasonal patrols are documented and tracked for accountability.
As community leaders, we’re asking for your help in keeping our park safe and welcoming for everyone.
Here’s what we need from you:
- Report any violations, suspicious activity, or potential issues immediately
- Call 9-1-1 or 856-694-1414—tell the dispatcher your location and the nature of the issue
- Share this document with others: Borough employees, parents, coaches, friends, and fellow community members and leaders
Please do not call me, the Police Chief, Borough Hall, or anyone else directly in the event of an incident. These delays can prevent a timely response.
Use 9-1-1 or 856-694-1414 for all immediate concerns, no matter how small they may seem.

We, I, certainly want you to contact us and let us know of any safety issues or any other concerns, but if you see an immediate problem or concern, please call

Please share this message, bring it up in your meetings, post it where people can see it, and help us maintain a safe, respectful environment at Melini Park.
Thank you for your support and involvement.
